While the dust of war fills the Hua River.
Our homeland suffers misfortune,
Cursed and blamed by spirits and gods.
Separated from the world's affairs,
Like a ship sailing beyond the heavens.
The brave general marches far,
His horse by the jade waterside.
My lonely self yearns and longs,
With countless thoughts entwined.
This unyielding affection,
Brings sorrow and longing.
